Sign Up Post | Prompt List | Claiming Bingos
Pinch Hit Bingo is a meta event where you fill bingo squares by claiming and filling pinch hits for other fan events. The prompts dictate the type of assignment you should claim. You win by filling enough bingo squares to make a bingo.
What's a pinch hit? It's an event assignment/request that needs a volunteer to create for it, either because the original participant couldn't complete it, or for some other reason. Usually, you can volunteer to pick up a pinch hit with some contact information, and then it becomes yours!
If you're not sure where to start, you can find pinch hits to claim at

Pinch Hit Bingo Rules:
1. Sign Ups
(see also Prompt List, Sign Up Post)
Make a comment requesting a bingo card at the sign up post. You can review the prompt list first, and opt out of up to three prompts in your comment. You can also, separately, request not to receive art-specific or writing-specific prompts. I'll reply once I generate your bingo card.
2. Winning
(see also Claiming Bingos)
Make a post to the comm linking all of your pinch hit fills and either linking or embedding your bingo card. If it's not clear from the work, you should also list the event the work was for. If the event has an anonymous period, you shouldn't post your bingo claim until creators are revealed.
3. Fills
Fills should be complete, and follow all of the rules for their event. Note that some events have rules against works being used for other events. If you're not sure, it's your responsibility to check with the moderatoros.
4. Schedule Notes
In order to open bingos to pinch hits from many events, Pinch Hit Bingo will run for most of the year. In some cases you might post a qualifying work, but not be able to publicly claim it until after the bingo deadline. Don't worry – you can still claim your bingo after the round ends as long as all of your works were posted by the end of December 31st.
After the round closes, there will be an amnesty period for posting works without full bingos.
5. Rewards
If you win, you get the warm glow of satisfaction – and some winner's graphics! More information coming later.
6. Posting to the Comm
Please wait to post fills until you either have a bingo to claim, or the amnesty period begins. Posts should be related to the event, but participants are welcome to post discussion, unofficial challenges, beta requests (remember to be vague about your assignments!) and anything else related.
